Asako Tanahashi

Asako Tanahashi was born in Tokyo, Japan in 1961.
After finishing Tama Art University Graduate School, she worked at advertising agency, afterward, becoming a freelance illustrator.
She has been illustrating for books, magazines and advertisements.
In 1997 she moved to the country side in Hakushu, Yamanashi prefecture, where she opened her own studio. She now also enjoys farming besides work.

Her works have been chosen for the display at the Bologna Illustrators Exhibition in 2001 and 2008.
